That gorgeous triple axis!

I feel that my Valentine's Day has reached a simultaneous high and low when I'm sitting in the living room with my girls watching Plushenko glide across the ice with more womanly command that I could ever hope to have. Ouch. But really, you have to be really secure in your manhood to be an ice skater. Granted, it's super atheletic and some of those moves are damn impressive, but the costumes... and the hair... they look like women!

Today has been uneventful. Specifically, no one sent me flowers OR commented on my bombdiggity outfit. I mean, HELLO, I put on something other than jeans and a t-shirt, plucked my caveman eyebrows and put on make-up! Anyway, today was my first day as an unemployed (yes, I quit my job at the Sub to persue full-time diva-dom.) There was some cookie-baking and Costco-shopping but definitely no homework and I didn't even go to my one academic class of the day (AsAm Lit)!

And now, my belly full of the O.G. and C2, I will continue to wallow in self-pity while watching Just Like Heaven, Meemee passed out on the air mattress, Rebecca commenting on every other thing, and Debbie... doing Debbie things. The horror, the horror!!

Brangelina

Welcome to my new internet home. I grew tired of Xanga and felt it time to move on with my online life. Now let me bring you up to speed...

My winter break was most uneventful. I went with the Hawkes on a quickie trip to Monterey, which was fun if somewhat tiring. I pulled an all-nighter the night before the trip to finish my Twain term paper. I was pushing my extension deadline so much that I had to "borrow" my wireless connection from the nice folks at Pixar so I could email Alison my paper on my way out of town. Other holiday highlights include: steamed milks with Anna; a brief visit from Catherine at CPK; two yummylicious Christmas dinners followed by a week-long malady that diminished my hunger and screwed with my eating schedule; and lots of quality baby time.

This Sunday I arrived in Tacoma via my beautiful electric blue motor vehicle with Father Ibrahim in tow. My Dad, unable to be away from his precious animals for long, timed our trip so that I would take him to the airport almost immediately after arriving in Tacoma. Debbie and Meemee kindly accompanied us to the airport and we treated ourselves to shopping in downtown Seattle ($3 shirts at Old Navy) and, of course, Thai Ginger! How could we resist?

On Monday, we did the same thing we do every day--played. Actually, we were quite productive if I do say so myself. We went to the bookstore before it became a zoo. After that, we were going to have lunch but we had to make a detour to Safeway because Caitlin had locked her keys in her car. AND THEN we looked at scary, mite-infested chairs at Goodwill. AND THEN we pigged out at the mall. AND THEN we went to Target and Top Foods where I was lectured on the meaning of a 15 item limit. AND THEN I cooked a roast for dinner. AND THEN...

You know how good friends start to talk alike, laugh alike, dress alike, and so on? Thanks to Debbie, Queen of the Allergic Reactions, I got unexplained allergic reactions worthy of "Unsolved Mysteries." For no apparent reason, I started to have a burning sensation on my lips, but being the indifferent fool I am, I ignored it hoping it would go away. Well, it didn't. Instead, my lips swelled and turned a nice shade of red, quite similar to my Burt's Bees lip tint.

I do solemnly swear to be more consistent in my posting AND my K.I.T. More to follow... soon... VERY soon.
